Description
Greek Mayonnaise combines mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lemon, garlic, fresh herbs, olive oil, and feta for a creamy, tangy sauce perfect for chicken salad, sandwiches, vegetables, and grilled meats.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1 garlic clove, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh oregano leaves, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 tablespoon fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons feta, finely crumbled
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Build the Sauce
- Add the mayonnaise and Greek yogurt to a bowl.
- Whisk in the olive oil, lemon zest, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Add the garlic, oregano, thyme, parsley, and dill.
- Fold in the crumbled feta.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavours to develop.
Give it a final stir before serving.
