Nothing like a belly full of warm, spicy Double Berry French Toast in the morning. In my days as an innkeeper in at the Dragonfly Inn, this was a guest favorite. Topped with small, sweet Nova Scotia strawberries and smothered in warm raspberry-maple syrup. Breakfast, it’s the most important meal of the day.

This time of year I love a warm scone, fresh from the oven. Perfect with a nice hot cup of tea on a late fall day. Lemon scones are among my favorites; adding cranberry and white chocolate. Light, fragrant, not too sweet; perfect for the girls on a Sunday afternoon or as a hostess gift during the holidays.

Feeding the throngs during the holidays. Overnight guests and long-lost relatives, all gathered in the kitchen for breakfast. How about

This is perhaps my most frequently used recipe. It’s easy, versatile, and provided you don’t forget anything (it can happen to the best of us) they’ll be picture perfect every time.
