Description
Mango Chili Mayo is creamy, sweet, tangy, and gently spicy. Made with fresh mango, Thai sweet chili sauce, lime, and mayonnaise, it’s perfect for chicken, seafood, sandwiches, salads, and fries – and oh so easy to make.
Ingredients
- 1 cup diced fresh ripe mango (approximately 1 mango)
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Thai sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 to 2 tablespoons water, if needed
Instructions
- Add mango, Thai sweet chili sauce, lime juice, and soy sauce to a blender or food processor.
- Blend to a rough puree, not too smooth, it’s best with a little texture.
- Add your mayonnaise, and blend lightly, just until combined.
- Add water, 1 teaspoon at a time, if a thinner consistency is desired.
- Taste and adjust the flavour: Add more Thai sweet chili sauce for extra heat. Add more lime juice for a brighter finish. Add a pinch of salt if needed.
- Transfer to an airtight container.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavours to develop.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
